WHY WE DO IT 

 
     Jeff has always had 3 passions in life: Family, Music and Carpentry/Woodworking.  Jeff started working with his hands at a very young age, always trying to build something, take things apart or figure out how they worked. At the age of 12, he started learning about homes and construction while helping his master carpenter grandfather hang kitchen cabinets, hang interior doors, crown, base and chair rail moldings, closet bars, shelving and installing all of the necessary hardware on various job sites.  After High School and receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education from West Chester University, public school music teaching jobs were hard to come by, so Jeff returned  to carpentry full-time, with Randall Yarnell Custom Home Builders in West Chester, PA. 
     Throughout his 25 year career teaching music to young children, Jeff continued to hone his home improvement and woodworking skills with a complete renovation of his first personal home in 1993 and a myriad of side projects in various areas of carpentry, cabinet making and construction on his own for friends, family and customers during evenings, weekends and spring & summer vacations.  He even worked periodically with Joe deFillipis of Professional Builders of Newark Delaware.   
     After his retirement from teaching in 2014,  Jeff ran a successful house flipping business with his father, overseeing projects, completely renovating and selling multiple high quality homes in New Castle County, Delaware.  He enjoyed the work and gained a reputation from home buyers and local real estate professionals for his high quality craftsmanship, professionalism and providing services above and beyond the average house flipper!   However, Jeff has always loved doing smaller projects AND the direct contact and interaction with people AND the satisfaction of working with those customers to meet their needs and help to make their ideas a reality.

     Jeff is now making his experience and skills available to any home or property owner, providing honest, professional, reliable and personalized alternatives to hiring very expensive, busy and hard to schedule plumbers, electricians, and larger building contractors to do the small and medium sized improvements and maintenance jobs around their homes.

     If you are looking for a cheap laborer, Jeff isn't your man. But if you are looking for high quality craftsmanship, paired with honesty and integrity in someone you can trust working in and around your home, then give BEST HANDYMAN SERVICES a call!

     BEST Handyman Services, LLC is generally available Monday Through Friday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.  However, emergencies do happen and if you think Jeff can help, please call (302) 593-4558.  Emergency and weekend help and services are available. Please note, additional restrictions and fees may apply.
